Quick Start Guide

Quick Start Guide

Set up your GhostVue

Seven steps from the box to your first switch.

1. Charge your plate

Plug your plate in with the included USB-C adapter. Charging also puts it in pairing mode, so your phone can find it in the next steps.

2. Download the GhostVue app

Get the free GhostVue app for iPhone or Android. Download the app

3. Add your vehicle

Open the app and tap Add Vehicle. Give it a name you'll recognize, like "Mazda SUV." A vehicle can hold up to two plates, front and rear.

4. Pair your plate

With your plate still charging, tap Add Plate in the app. Choose your plate from Available Plates, then choose where it will be mounted: Front or Rear. Can't find it? Make sure it's plugged in, then swipe down to refresh. Up to two phones can pair with each plate.

5. Mount your plate

Mount your GhostVue over your license plate using screws that match your vehicle's factory license plate hardware, sized 1 inch longer to fit the cover's thickness. Screws aren't included, since every vehicle is different, so pick up the right size before you start. The included screw covers are decorative and don't hold the plate in place. Then you're good to go.

6. Tap to switch

Tap the plate in the app to switch between Ghost Mode and Clear Mode. With two plates, tap either plate to switch both. The app shows the new mode once the plate confirms the switch.

7. Set Auto-Clear

Auto-Clear returns your plate to Clear Mode after your phone disconnects. Tap Auto-Clear at the top of the main screen and choose how long it waits: Immediately, 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, 1 hr or 2 hr.

Good to know

Battery. The battery level shows above each plate. It turns red at 20%. Charge soon.

Dead battery means a readable plate. Ghost Mode needs power, so a plate with no battery always returns to Clear Mode.

Disconnected. If your phone is out of range or Bluetooth is off, the app shows the plate's last known mode and a Disconnected label. Move back within range to reconnect.

New phone? Plug the plate into a charger to put it back in pairing mode, then pair it from the new phone.
